Cooking with flowers?

We know flowers are pretty to look at in your home, but they also look beautiful on food. We have concluded a list on flowers you actually can eat.

Flowers with edible petals:

Calendula

Sunflower

Roses

Geranium

Daylily

Tulips

Flowers that can be eaten whole:

Malva

Viola

Lilac

Lavender

Here’s the recipe of Blumes favorite lavender frosting. It tastes super delicious on

cupcakes and also make them look really pretty.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup whole milk

1/2 teaspoon dried lavender

3 cups confectioners' sugar

Violet gel-paste food coloring

Directions:

Bring milk and lavender just to a boil in a small saucepan. Remove from heat, and let steep 10 minutes. Strain, and discard lavender. Whisk in sugar until smooth. Strain again. Add food coloring until desired shade. Use immediately.
